Lucid Load is Tune’s power conditioning technology that improves electrical efficiency by reducing waste, balancing loads, and optimizing how power is delivered throughout a facility. Using patented, passive technology, it enhances power quality while safely lowering demand and system stress.
Modern facilities rely on increasingly complex electrical loads—motors, drives, electronics, and automation systems that introduce imbalance, reactive current, heat, and inefficiency into power systems.
Lucid Load addresses these challenges at the electrical level, conditioning power before it reaches connected equipment. By stabilizing voltage and current relationships, Lucid Load reduces wasted energy, improves equipment performance, and supports more efficient facility operation.
Lucid Load is a patented shunt efficiency system that operates continuously and passively—without moving parts, software, or resonance.
Key capabilities include:
This approach improves electrical efficiency while maintaining safe, stable operation across a wide range of load conditions.
Lucid Load operates automatically and continuously once installed:
The system quietly conditions power in the background, improving performance without disrupting operations.
Lucid Load is engineered and certified for commercial and industrial environments:
These certifications ensure Lucid Load meets rigorous safety, performance, and reliability standards for facility deployment.
By improving power quality and reducing inefficiencies at the source, Lucid Load helps facilities:
Rather than reacting to electrical issues downstream, Lucid Load proactively conditions power at the service level.
Hawaii’s electrical grid is prone to power-quality fluctuations, including voltage spikes, brownouts, and outages that can disrupt elevator operation. Further, the local electric utility allows voltage to fluctuate by as much as 15%, while a fluctuation of approximately 10% could permanently damage elevator control boards, variable-frequency drives, or controller fuses.
Abitibi-Price, one of the world's largest ground wood pulp manufacturers, sought a solution to reduce the significant electricity costs associated with operating its facilities. With electricity representing one of the company’s largest operating expenses, the engineering team evaluated Lucid Load power conditioning technology through extensive testing.
Coldwater Seafood Corporation of Cambridge, Maryland, installed 11 Lucid Load units on the north end of its plant. When the facility experienced what was believed to be a major voltage sag, the unprotected south end sustained considerable electrical damage, including failed transformers, burned-out refrigeration motors, damaged motor-starter coils, and refrigeration system failure. The protected north end sustained no damage, even though it typically drew 10 to 20 times more power than the south end.
Lucid Load is a core component of Tune’s integrated Energy Tech and Facility Services offering—focused on cleaner power, optimized electrical performance, and streamlined facility management across portfolios.
